Do You See What I See, The Blog, Easter Edition Preview

Okay, so here’s what we’re going to do. Friday I’m going to post a Do You See What I See, Easter Edition blog. It will be similar to the DYSWIS Christmas project, but this time I will explore what Good Friday or Saturday or Easter might have been like for one of the people who were a part of it. Your job, should you choose to accept it, is to write a piece from another person’s point of view. What would Good Friday have been like for… Mary? John? Pilate? The repentant thief? When you are done, you can post your writing as a comment along with mine. Hopefully we will all be encouraged first as we dig into the crucifixion and resurrection, and secondly as we share in each other’s stories. I hope you will write. Post any time over the weekend. I’ve got two stirring in my mind already. Which one will I post? I don’t even know yet. I can’t wait to hear what God shows you as He brings that weekend to life in your heart.

Merry Early Christmas

Hey everyone.  I just found out that Amazon has my Christmas record “Do You See What I See” on sale for $4.99 (mp3 download).  I really love that record.  I hope this enables even more people to enjoy it this Christmas season.  If you don’t know about the record, it’s basically written as a musical. There is an opening song and a closing song.  But all the other songs are written from the perspective of the people actually in the Christmas story. What would it have been like to really be a part of this?  So, there’s a song from Mary, one from Joseph, even from the angels, and Simeon.  I had some wonderful people sing on this record: Christy Nockels, Anthony Evans, Mike Weaver (Big Daddy Weave), Michael O’Brien, Joy Whitlock, and many others.  I really hope you enjoy it.  Here’s the link…

DYSWIS Tour Update #3

A great week with Rush of Fools and Meredith Andrews. We had a great time with some wonderful folks. We played a show in Hardin, KY. Church in the middle of nowhere but what a great church. Then on to Morton MS which somehow was even smaller. We actually played in a state park. But the concert was awesome. We packed the place out and really worshipped the Lord in a powerful way that night. So thanks to all who came out. Now we’re back on the bus heading to AL. See you there.

Rush of Fools and Meredith Andrews to Join Agnew’s Holiday Tour

Nashville, Tenn. Dec. 2, 2009… Critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Todd Agnew is partnering with Rush of Fools and Meredith Andrews for the “Do You See What I See?” Christmas tour. The nine date tour will run from December 3 to December 17. Tour dates are listed below.

“Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year,” says Agnew. ”It’s a time we spend with family and friends. I’m very excited to spend this Christmas season celebrating the birth of Christ with Rush of Fools, Meredith Andrews and many of our friends across the country.”

The tour’s namesake comes from Agnew’s 2006 holiday album Do You See What I See? which tells the Christmas story from the personal perspectives of all the eyewitnesses of the birth of Christ. The Christmas show comes on the heels of Agnew’s 40 date “The Promise Remains” tour with Building 429 and Kimber Rising sponsored by Christian humanitarian organization World Vision. Agnew also released his fifth studio album titled Need in October.
