Hey everyone, welcome to the new site! Much thanks to Nick Perreault at Nikabrik Design for all the work he did on it.
I am working on a lot of new stuff, musically, educationally, blog-ally, so check back soon and see what goes on here. I’d really like to rebuild the community we had years ago when we had the message boards. This is a different environment, but you are all still family, so I’d like to increase the quality of our communication. Heck, why don’t you just comment below and let me know what’s going on in your life. That can be a step in the right direction. I’ll knock out another blog letting you know what’s going on in mine. Then I’ll start a new blog schedule. As always, the most constant contact from me is on Twitter (@agnewsdei), but that will post here as well.
Looking forward to sharing life and hopefully soon, sharing some new music with you as well.
Hey Todd!
I really miss that community – I’m glad some of us have stayed in touch. I was only thinking fondly of the boards over the weekend.
I’ve moved like a gazillion times (3) and I’m still plugging away at work, wishing for the holiday fairy to drop money in my lap for another trip to the USA. Presently, my new kitten is trying to catch the letters as they appear on the screen. Doesn’t make typing easy, given that it’s a touch screen laptop.
I look forward to checking in here more often as I try and find my way back after a long stretch in the faith valley/desert.
Cheers from Oz, my friend!
Glad to hear about a reconnect effort! I enjoyed the boards/forum so much… Made many good friends that I still am connected with; was encouraged by things people shared; etc. Will be glad to learn more of what God’s doing in your life; too. See ya around!
Tess….checking in! Let’s see, what have I been up to? Finished my Master’s degree in 2012, and have been working to end human trafficking since then. I’m now a missionary abolitionist with FREE International, and serve as their Policy Director and their Embrace Project Coordinator. Exciting stuff!
Looking forward to connecting!
–Tess
It’s a little funny that my original comment is waiting to be moderated…
Well, I forgot to do what Tess did & tell you a little about what’s going on in my world… My father & I ran our family business together. Then, he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s & vascular Dementia a few years ago. While he became incapable of running the business anymore, mother still brought him to work with me for the last 3 1/2 years everyday for most of the day. In Oct 2014, he moved to heaven. I miss him; but, know I’ll see him again in heaven to live forever with the Lord! I’m running the business now without him & sharing the love & word of God through that. Still very active in my church. Recently hooked up by the Holy Spirit with Israel Media Ministries that reaches out to Jews in Israel & Worldwide evangelically in order to lead them to saving faith in Jesus Christ!
Great to have you reaching out! A lot of lifelong friends were made on the old boards, and I’m still in touch with a lot of them. I don’t think I can ever thank you enough for providing the space for such wonderful relationships. Maybe I’ll name one of my chickens after you. Or not. I’d feel bad if it got eaten by a fox. 😉
So… my updates. My first book, Rocky Mountain Dreams, was published in November. My next book, The Lawman’s Redemption, is out in July, and I have a third coming in 2016. We just moved to our sort-of dream home in the mountains. I say sort-of because the house needs a lot of work, and we’re in the middle of renovations, but it will eventually be wonderful! I’ve turned into a crazy chicken lady, and we also inherited some ducks and geese with the house. I like the ducks, but I’m not sure about the geese. We’re hoping to have horses and other assorted animals (still under negotiation) in the future.
I think that’s all the major stuff I can think of. Mostly just trying to stay sane enough to keep out of trouble. 🙂
Very glad to hear the effort to reconnect and share in the community! Have appreciated the insight shared through lyrics and your commentary. They have challenged my mind and convicted my heart!
Hoping to catch you the West Michigan area!
Blessings!
I love the community that has come from the old message board. It is still alive and active in part, and it would be wonderful to reconnect as well as welcome new friends.
The biggest change in my life since those days is becoming a grandma for the first time. It’s a wonderful thing to watch my son become a parent, and delightful to teach my grandson a few tricks to play on his dad.
I’m involved in a new church after years of searching and longing for community. My time at Hutchmoot (check it out at http://rabbitroom.com ) since 2012 helped me recognize a loving and accepting community.
Still learning how to love and be loved.
