Okay, one show down, however many to go. Sorry for the lack of posts lately, but finishing the tour, Thanksgiving, and prepping the new tour have taken all my time. I will finish the Promises series, but for now, it’s on to the new tour. Joining Brian, Sam and I on bass for these weeks is Aaron Branch from Building 429. Great to have him. We have Ryan Lewis running the tour and running sound. Daina is doing World Vision and merch. And we pick up Meredith Andrews from the airport in the morning. Rush of Fools will join us next week.
You know, it’s always great to take some time and focus on the gift God gave us in Christ. I plan on slowing down just a tad tomorrow and trying to consider that a little more. Maybe you can do the same. Let me know what He shows you.
Thanks to Berean Baptist Church for hosting us tonight and letting us learn all our songs in your sanctuary. You were wonderful. And you took us to Pappasito’s.
Looking forward to seeing you all on the road. Later.
Todd
This was my first time seeing the DYSWIS tour and it was amazing! Your music and perspective and heart of worship are always such a blessing! Thanks for taking the time to take some pictures with us. Meredith Andrews was such a blessing as well, you both have humble hearts and powerful messages. God bless you and Brian and the rest of the crew on this tour and have wonderful Christmas’ with your families.
I felt such pure JOY last night, and it keeps bubbling up! There is a BIG smile on my heart today! THANK YOU everyone who had a part in DYSWIS! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! I know God set it up just as He wanted it!!! The Holy Spirit made SUCH a strong “appearence”! I had been wanted to hear Meredith live ever since I first heard her song, “You’re Not Alone,” and it was SUCH a blessing just to hear her live, and THEN it was a DOUBLE BLESSING to be able to hear her sing parts in DYSWIS!!! And the blessings didn’t stop there, God always uses Todd’s messages to dig into my dense heart and mind, and if THAT wasn’t BLESSING enough, to hear Todd and the band create live music to the story of Christmas from different perspectives, with humor that always makes me laugh, BLESSED ME OVER THE TOP!!! GLORY TO GOD!!! It was SUCH a great night! This has helped me get focused on the true meaning of Christmas and has stirred up the JOY of the gift of salvation in my heart, as well as the HOPE of Christ’s return! I pray God BLESSES each and everyone involved and their families 100X more than He blessed me!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS! 🙂
Todd, I saw you on December 5th in little ole Kilgore, Tx. I must say it was awesome. The way you presented the Christmas story from different views was great. I was deeply moved by the whole concert. Meredith was a big benefit to the show as well. God worked through both of you that night. I was wanting to say that I hope that you tape one of your shows during this tour. I would love a copy to show family and friends on every Christmas. I just loved the show that much. I wish I could see it again. God is doing amazing work through you and Meredith. May God continue to bless you and your families. Merry Christmas…
