What are your thoughts?
Every time another one of Todd’s CDs are released I think that one is the best. But this one is quite possibly THE best! I think what sets it apart for me is that it transcends all the lyrics and rhythms of skillful musicians and focuses on Jesus. The more I listen, the deeper the layers of truth are revealed that provoke my heart to deeper worship. Irregardless of all the technical brilliance, this one is off the charts for me.
I think that I agree with Brenda on this one, I absolutely love this album! The lyrics are always great but I really enjoy the different sounds that Todd puts with the lyrics. My favorite so far is The Love of God, that is an unexpected rhythm and sound from Todd, but I love how soft and calming it is.
I once heard a guy who attributed 3 Doors Down’s “Here Without You” as a country song but morphed by the studio. In turn, he returned the twang back to it.
It’s the feeling I get from “Need.” I feel a step removed. But, as I ran across this album via Spotify, maybe I am.
I also remember that guy who meshed “Fragile Breath” with “Higher.”
I’m sure I’m the wrong audience, but I miss “less studio” but deep, soal groanings, covering “My Glorious” or a very powerful , energetic, overwhelming chorus in “Abide with Me.”
